Orientation Sessions for New Members

Because the Wayne County Time Bank is all about building community, we want to have a chance to meet you and introduce ourselves and Time Banking before you join. Our orientation sessions are informal and fun ways to get together for making this connection. They usually last about an hour and consist of these main parts:

  • Overview of Time Banking in Wayne County
  • Introduction of participants
  • A fun exercise to help you see what skills you have to offer, and what services you might want to request
  • Instructions on how to use our online Time Banking tools that allow you to make offers to other members, request services from other members, and record and view your hours
  • Questions and Answers

These sessions are free and open to the public, and there's certainly no obligation to join the Time Bank just because you attend.

You can see a list of upcoming orientation sessions and other Wayne County Time Bank events on our events calendar.

Consider having one of our volunteers come speak to your group or organization about Time Banking, especially if you don't see an upcoming event that you can attend - just contact us to set that up.
