Time Bank project presented to community leaders

At tonight's graduation ceremony for the Institute for Creative Leadership, the founders of the Wayne County Time Bank presented the project to various leaders from around the community. Held at the Forrest Hills Country Club, the event marked the end of the group's initial planning efforts and the first public announcement of the Wayne County Time Bank. Included in the presentation was the announcement of the first Time Bank member orientation session, to be held on Wednesday May 16th at 5:30 PM, at the Uptown Innovation Center.

The Institute for Creative Leadership course that spawned the Wayne County Time Bank project helped participants explore what makes an effective community, what it means to be a servant leader, working, thinking and learning styles and many other capacities that are needed in 21st century communities. As a part of the course, participants were asked to take on a project that would allow them to put their servant leadership skills to work while benefiting the larger community. The Wayne County Time Bank project was just one of the great concepts initiated through the workshop.
